CIMBL Chairman Paul Grewal wants Ottawa to encourage more competition in the Canadian mortgage market. (CBC Story) Grewal also wants the government to raise the amount people can borrow from their RRSPs to purchase a house, from $20,000 to $25,000. CIMBL will change its name to the Canadian Association of Accredited MortgageProfessionals (CAAMP) on May 1, 2007 to reflect it’s push of the AMP designation.
