Toronto Land Tax Delayed

Tax-Shot-Down The vote was 23-22.  Toronto’s controversial land transfer tax was shot down–for now.

It was a major political loss for Mayor Miller.  Miller said services will likely be cut and property taxes will likely be raised without the tax.

The issue comes up for vote again in October.
