Department or Division Mandate or Vision:
CTB recently launched a suite of retail banking products including mortgages, savings accounts, GICs and the Canadian Tire One-and-Only account. The Canadian Tire One-and-Only account is a new and innovative tool specifically designed to help get your mortgage out of your way faster and easier. You could shave years off your mortgage and save thousands in interest.  These products will be distributed online, by phone and through our newly created mobile mortgage sales force. With this newly created role, CTB will be expanding its distribution channels to reach even more customers, changing the way Canadians feel about banking.

Position Summary:
In your role as Mobile Mortgage Consultant, you will assist the Retail Banking Team in creating Customers for Life by acquiring new residential mortgage customers, through referrals generated through our current channels (instore, online and call centre), and by new referral sources you will be responsible for building. You are a proven, professional business developer in a mobile work environment, with strong mortgage, banking and sales skills. You have a network of referral sources including realtors, financial planners and community contacts.

Job Responsibilities:
– Generate mortgage business from call centre/instore/online/community referrals
– Conduct meetings with prospective customers, where and when it is convenient for the customer
– Interview and assess customer’s needs, obtaining all pertinent personal financial information to complete an application for mortgage financing
-Communicate approval and provide assistance satisfying all approval requirements
– Develop and leverage community centres of influence – such as lawyers, realtors, financial planners and home builders, to generate new referral sources for Canadian Tire Bank
– Create sales plans to exceed assigned sales targets
– Understanding of other CTFS products such as Mastercard and Insurance to support cross sell opportunities
– Assist Canadian Tire Bank in promotion of new products and initiatives through instore events
– Represent Canadian Tire Bank at appropriate industry and community events
-Adhere to and comply with all Regulatory and Compliance requirements

Position Opportunities:
– Extensive product and sales training provided
– Home based office (you will be provided with a full mobile office)
– You will be required to achieve and maintain your designation as an Accredited Mortgage Professional, subsidized by Canadian Tire Bank

– Post secondary education
– AMP designation desired
– 5 years financial services/banking, with at least 2 years in business development and mortgages
-Strong time management skills
– Highly motivated and results oriented
– Demonstrated creativity, resilience and highly ethical standards
– Strong problem solving and analytical skills
– Ability to make decisions under pressure while adhering to underwriting standards
– Superior relationship management skills, including verbal and written communication
– Ability to work remotely within a team environment
– Ability to work variable hours, including evenings and weekends
