OVERVIEW OF POSITION:

 

 

 

The Company is looking for a senior administrator who is a self-motivated, active multi-tasker with a solid background in residential mortgage funding, customer service, default management, mortgage law and civil procedure.

 

 

 

The position is part of a team that is jointly responsible for the management of the company’s day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will also play a pivotal role in the future growth and development of the company with commensurate potential for assuming senior managerial responsibility.

 

 

 

The successful candidate will be assigned to either our Carleton Place or Perth offices.

 

 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

 

 

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:   

 

  

 

·Special focus on default management includes bringing NSF accounts up to date, initiating and managing power of sale activities (including property management, maintenance, and renovations), and minimizing loss.

 

·Share duties with a team working in the areas of funding, renewals, discharges and the payment of taxes and insurance.

 

·Manage relationships with brokers, lawyers, realtors, appraisers, and borrowers to guarantee a customer focused environment, including quick turnaround and proper escalation.

 

·Maintain databases with accuracy.

 

·Ensure that audit/compliance procedures are adhered to.

 

·Maintaining customer confidentiality and security procedures.

 

·Provide operational support by identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities in streamlining workflows.

 

·Participate in projects as required to assist in the building and development of the business.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

 

 

·University degree an asset.

 

·Applicants should have a depth of experience in the mortgage lending business, either through a mortgage or finance company, bank or financial institution, or real estate law office.

 

·A paralegal with mortgage related experience generally and specialized litigation, power of sale related expertise/experience would be a tremendous asset.

 

·Ability to understand and interpret mortgage documents and legal documents.

 

·Strong working knowledge of Office XP, databases, and internet.

 

·The company will train in its custom software applications however Filogix and Simply Accounting experience is an asset.

 

·Must have proven success communicating and dealing with clients, lawyers and partners (brokers, realtors, property managers).

 

·Ability to manage clients effectively on the telephone.

 

·Ability to deal with changing priorities and busy practices.

 

·Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.

 

·Excellent spelling, grammar and proofreading skills.
