Mortgage Underwriter (Assistant to Senior Mortgage Broker)

Spectrum-Canada has spent the last 10 years servicing the non-conventional mortgage market in Canada through its brokerage, lending and mortgage management operations.

We are currently seeking an experienced Mortgage Underwriter to work closely with our Senior Mortgage Broker in an assistant role in the company’s head office in Burnaby, BC.

The successful candidate will have a strong mortgage brokerage background with at least 2 years residential mortgage brokerage experience and hold a current sub-mortgage broker’s license and will be responsible for working with clients, lenders and our Bank and Credit union Origination Partners in a support role to our Senior Mortgage Broker. 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent telephone and organizational skills
  • Numerical competency and the ability to take initiative for solving problems by thinking outside the box
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills

This is a full time salaried position.
