Our intention is to drive critical volume through the lending operations and to provide ownership of the entire business to the brokerage distribution channel.

 

POSITION OVERVIEW 

Currently, we are looking for a strong, experienced leader to join our brokerage team as Regional Vice President Sales for Western Canada and headquartered in Calgary, Alberta. This dynamic and goal oriented professional will report to directly to the President and will be responsible for growing the corporate brand as well as providing effective management, and support to our mortgage agents, team leaders, and franchise partners in developing, and growing their businesses, leading to increased mortgage volumes and revenue. The successful candidate will further be responsible for the recruitment of new team leaders, agents and franchisee’s within their region.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

RECRUITMENT

  • Full cycle recruitment of new brokers, agents and teams who fit with the corporate brand – Lucrative commissions based on recruitment will be offered for building a strong sales team in Western Canada.
  • Assist with recruiting and management within teams to help grow their business and volumes.
  • Develop and maintain a recruitment candidate list based upon your understanding of company requirements.

 

MANAGEMENT OF REGION

  • Provide leadership to the network through regular communication of corporate policies, initiatives, and compliance.
  • Act as liaison within network and between the network and our operations staff.
  • Monitor network to ensure regulatory & corporate compliance regarding applicable licensing and marketing rules as well as policies and laws related to proper mortgage documentation.
  • Promote and track initiatives, features and benefits of the corporate lending division; myNext Mortgage, to the network to increase penetration and funded volume/revenues of the division.
  • Assist in the development of business/marketing plans and targets for our Agents, team leaders and franchise teams.
  • Promotion/coaching of the ‘Customer for Life’ approach to business development through the use of our exclusive CRM provided to our network.

 

TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT

  • Organize regional meetings for training, networking and updating our network regularly.
  • Arrange for training on products, corporate systems and tools (CRM, Intranet platform, Workbench) and compliance processes for the network.
  • Coordinate the delivery of training sessions/product knowledge communications from lenders and other industry partners to the network.

 

RELATIONSHIP BUILDING & MANAGEMENT

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with network, lenders and other industry partners.
  • Manage escalations that may arise between the network, operations team, industry partners and/or clients and take corrective action on a timely basis when needed.

 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Post secondary education an asset
  • 5+ years experience in the financial services industry as a sales team manager or in a similar type role.
  • Knowledge of mortgage products, regulations and overall industry experience a plus.
  • Exceptional networker with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Highly motivated team leader, focused, and results oriented.
  • Superior negotiator with strong influencing and sales skills.
  • Assertive ‘hunter’ mentality with a strong desire to be on the road meeting brokers
  • Ability to work under pressure, conforming to changing demands
