OMAC Mortgages, a longstanding regional mortgage brokerage firm, has formed an alliance with The Mortgage Group (TMG).

OMAC operates mostly in Ontario with about two dozen storefronts, plus three more in Alberta under the CMAC Mortgages name. OMAC has been around since 1993 and it’s been a steadfast independent ever since.

“We’ve come a long way since 1993,” said David Providenti, President of OMAC and CMAC. “When we were looking at this next stage of growth, TMG’s support systems, training and tools impressed us.”

OMAC joins the TMG network as an affiliate. TMG is a national brokerage firm that started 22 years ago. It currently has more than 700 agents.

“OMAC and CMAC are tremendously successful organizations…,” said TMG President Mark Kerzner, who describes the alliance as “a perfect fit.”

“(The affiliation) expands our presence in Southwest Ontario where we didn’t have a strong footprint.”

Kerzner says OMAC/CMAC will be able to leverage TMG’s back-end systems, marketing support, lender relationships and rewards and recognition programs.

Following the completion of the alliance, OMAC’s branding will switch to “OMAC Mortgages Powered by TMG.” OMAC will retain its own brokerage licence.
