The Business Development/Relationship Officer is responsible for ensuring the mortgage portfolios are fully funded in high quality mortgage investments.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a visible presence in the mortgage brokerage community in order to educate the mortgage brokers in our mortgage niche
Act as a bridge between the mortgage broker and our mortgage underwriter(s) on residential mortgages
Identify and screen potential deals through continuous communication, site visits, analysis, research, etc.
Acquire and maintain product knowledge on mortgage offerings of Pillar Financial Services Inc.
Discuss and recommend solutions to meet requirements in the underwriting department with the Business Development Manager
Research business trends and opportunities relating to products and services offered by Pillar’s competition.
Assist in development of marketing material requirements as required by BDO activities
Interface with the marketing department on marketing supplies
Maintain a flexible working schedule including some evenings and weekends
Pillar Financial Services Inc. is a private lender in the mortgage industry. Mortgage deals are sourced through mortgage brokers. We are looking for a dynamic, self-starter to develop relationships with mortgage brokers in order to stream quality mortgage applications to our Underwriting Department.
The Business Development Officer is based in Ottawa, works independently and is on the road most of the week visiting mortgage brokerages in Eastern and Central Ontario on a regular basis. The successful candidate will manage a flexible work schedule that includes some evening and weekend work. You will identify marketing requirements to support your relationship development activities. You will report to the Business Development Manager and will interface with the Underwriting department by providing feedback on the mortgage market. You are a bridge between the organization and the mortgage broker community.
