About the position:

We are offering a unique opportunity for an
experienced mortgage advisor seeking employment with a highly reputable team with
an established and growing client base. In addition to the opportunity to serve
existing clients, the advisor will have a professional office space, support
staff, underwriting, marketing and a respected name to work under. In return,
the advisor is expected to care for Calum Ross clients with a level of
professionalism and service that creates raving fans and generates ongoing
business and referrals.

This individual has to be passionate about

  • Perform client consultations
    throughout the day, and answer all e-mails, faxes and voicemails
  • Follow the established
    processes and procedures that have made our company successful
  • Meet and/or exceed service
    requirements and touch point deliverables
  • Monitor all loans-in-process,
    and supervise underwriting to ensure all internal and lender-issued deadlines
    are met
  • Identify all the supporting
    loan documentation required of individual borrowers
  • Recommend/negotiate alternative
    options on declined loan applications such as changes to the amount, structure
    and/or terms and conditions to arrive at an approval
  • Never close loans late or ugly,
    or commissions will be withheld
  • Stay on top of all current
    lender products, rates and guidelines
  • Liaise with lenders and maintain
    positive relationships with staff
  • Use CRM software to record all
    borrower information and communications
  • Bring in a minimum of one
    deal/month of personal production
  • Show up at work with a positive
    attitude, and embrace and support team members

Skills required:

  • Sound knowledge of mortgage
    lending and products
  • Technically proficient with
    advanced financial knowledge
  • Knowledge of financial planning
    and basic understanding of taxation a definite asset
  • Team mentality
  • High ethical standards, both
    professionally and personally
  • Efficient, with excellent time
    management skills

  • Demonstrated ability to use MS

Salary range:

  • $50,000 – $60,000 base salary + commission based on referred volume, with guaranteed minimum compensation over $80,000 and an expected compensation of $100,000+
