Sales Administrator (Residential Mortgages)

The Company

CMLS
Financial Ltd, founded in 1974, is a national financial services company based
in Vancouver with branches in Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, and Halifax
and primarily focused on the commercial mortgage sector.  CMLS and its affiliates provide lending
solutions to real estate owners and developers and related services to some of
Canada’s most prominent financial institutions, insurance companies, investment
managers and others.  We will originate more
than $1.8 billion of new commercial mortgages this year for our own account and
that of our partners.  We currently
manage a mortgage portfolio of $6 billion, making us the leading private firm
in our industry.

CMLS has
recently formed a Residential Mortgage Division. Starting in 2013, when the
division officially opens, brokers will be able to rely on CMLS for single
family residential mortgage funds.

Job Purpose and Summary

The
Sales Administrator will work closely with the Residential Sales team providing
administration support to meet the business needs. General duties will include:
coordinating sales communications, preparing presentations/reports and
organizing sales/broker events. Other duties, relevant to the position, shall
be assigned as required.

Accountabilities

The core
responsibilities and accountabilities are:

  • Coordinate
    sales communications including: market research, advertising, direct mailing,
    printing, broker events, company website and trade shows
  • Prepare presentations, reports and communications
    for both internal and external parties as directed by Manager
  • Coordinate broker/sales events (i.e. trade
    shows, broker events, sales team meetings)
  • Work with Marketing on brand initiatives and
    collateral/promotional material.
  • Prepare broker packages and track inventory of
    broker material
  • Follow-up on broker requests, as directed by
    Manager
  • Other
    duties as required

Education / Experience / Skills

The successful candidate
will possess:

  • 1-2 years of experience in an administrative
    role, preferably in a sales environment (residential mortgage experience is  an asset)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills – written and oral
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficient use of various office based software
    including Microsoft Office 2010
  • Takes ownership of tasks and follows through to
    completion
  • Performs well in a fast-paced, deadline driven
    environment
  • Demonstrates professionalism, judgment, and
    integrity
  • Flexible and interested in working for a growing
    organization.
