 Business Development Manager

Responsible for cultivation and management of
new  “accounts”.  These include but are not limited to the following:

  • Conduct
    market research and continue gathering competitive information. Investigate relevant
    economic conditions.
  • Establish
    and execute on tangible sales plans that detail specific markets, targets and
    tactics including prospecting, tradeshows, inside sales initiatives,
    advertising, etc.
  • Network
    with professionals from various complimentary industries to continually engage
    new business to support the sales team
  • Negotiate
    Contracts, follow up as required
  • Prospect
    for potential new clients and turn this into increased business
  • Prepare
    detailed plan for sufficient account coverage. Report on activity and results –
    office visits, email blasts, presentations, eventsals
  • Build
    relationships with new accounts
  • Track
    and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets
  • Identify
    opportunities to increase presence
  • Attend
    industry events (trade shows, conferences, etc) where professionals are present
    with access to clients that fit in with our target audience.

 

Qualifications:

  • Mortgage
    licence
  • Post
    secondary degree in a related field and 2+ years of mortgage sales
    experience;
  • Valid
    driver’s licence and access to an automobile;
  • Along
    with in-depth mortgage sales experience, an established network of
    financial services contacts.
  • Polished
    presentation skills.
  • Customer-focused,
    adept at building client relations;
  • Strong
    written and verbal communication skills;
  • Flexibility
    to work evenings and weekends are required (attendance to industry events
    such as tradeshows/conferences is required.);
  • Self-starter
    who can work with minimal supervision;
  • Ability
    to multi-task and meet deadlines;
  • Good
    knowledge of MS Office.
