Many moons ago we were sitting down contemplating our frustration at how many websites we had to visit to get housing-market data. And then we uttered the five magic words: “Wouldn’t it be nice if…”
Fast forward some years and the Canadian Association of Accredited Mortgage Professionals (CAAMP) has completed that sentence by building a one-stop shop for key mortgage market data.
Introducing, the Mortgage Dashboard.
MDashboard is a place where mortgage market watchers can get a quick handle on rate trends, real estate activity and the Canadian economy. The goal is to put the most essential housing analytics all in one place and make them easy to share.
Among other things, you’ll find…
- Interest rate charts and indicators
- Core measures of real estate health
- Economic vital signs
- Key mortgage spreads
- Bank of Canada rate change odds
- Instant Twitter sharing for every data point
- Shareable, printable and downloadable charts
- A customizable layout
What you see today is very early days. There’s lots more data goodness to come.
Future enhancements will include debt indicators, regional real estate data, affordability indices and so on.
On that note, we’re keen on your suggestions for what you’d like to see. Feel free to use the comments below as a wish list of sorts.
Special thanks: This site would not be possible without the support of CAAMP members, CAAMP’s prior and current board, the dedication of Samir Asusa and the generous sponsorship of Home Trust and B2B Bank. Our sincere appreciation to them all.

Nice website with well collated information. Shame the” find a broker” didn’t work, I would be driving 100’s of km if the list/map is to be followed.
Hi there,
Thanks for the feedback. May we ask your postal code so we can check on this? If you prefer, feel free to email it to info@canadianmortgagetrends.com
Cheers…
shouldn’t the broker rate be 2.79% instead of 3.79%
overall a good dasboard
Yes, as Murphy’s Law would have it on rollout day, there was a database glitch that affected this and a few other data points. They’ve all been updated now. Thank you, and thank you Kenneth Andrew, for the reports.
The McDashboard, I knew the day would arrive.
Time for lunch.
Good work
First view looks great
thanks
I happen to think this is a fantastic initiative. Thanks Rob for dreaming this up and CAAMP for helping make it a reality. Well done!
Thank you folks! It was a somewhat epic challenge to develop and fine tune the database but all systems are now go.
