The Opportunity

The Associate, Member Relations contributes to the promotion and growth of Mortgage Professionals Canada as the premiere professional services organization in the mortgage industry. The Associate, Member Relations is a sales professional responsible for helping to execute the vision, strategy and business plan to grow and retain our membership. This position supports the Association’s efforts to recruit and sustain a diverse, active and engaged membership.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute programs and strategies to grow membership as determined by the Manager, Business Development
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate and community partners
  • Enhance member engagement and promote our value proposition, including member benefits
  • Maintain a strong ‘sales’ funnel/list of prospective new members, including timely maintenance of a prospect and existing membership database
  • Network at mortgage industry and related events to increase membership
  • Work with our Marketing and Communication departments to achieve desired results
  • Utilize the CRM database to create invoices and maintain accurate and up to date information

Qualifications and Experience

  • 1 to 2 years’ experience in a membership-based organization
  • Ability to speak French preferred
  • Experience working in a mortgage broker operation
  • University or college level courses in business administration and/or equivalent
  • Expertise in relationship management with high level of persuasion and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
  • Experience with Advanced Find, Reports and mail merge, broad LMS knowledge required
  • Customer service and inside sales skills with a proven growth track record
  • Ability to simplify processes
  • Clear communication skills
