Do you want to be part of the fabric that builds the foundation of success? We are looking for a Product Analyst who is relentless about strengthening the Bank’s product portfolio and improving value propositions.

 

As part of the Product, Marketing and Communications team, you share the belief that an evidence based product management strategy is a must.

You want to hunt down opportunities and know everything about the market. You know that building a solid value proposition is critical. You will become evangelical about the best direction for the Bank and can rally the support of key team members to get it done.

You also know a business needs to be profitable. Your approach to developing the product range, optimizing the portfolio and the recommendations you derive will influence strategy at the top level and channel marketing activity at the tactical level. You’ll use relevant information to help inform critical decisions.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Use storytelling to paint the picture and communicate recommendations to keep the Bank’s product lines relevant and explore new initiatives that support the strategic vision
  • Interpret market feedback, risks, trends and competition for recommendations to:
  • Enhance profitability, relevance and competitiveness.
  • Enhance value propositions and service delivery.
  • Pursue your own lines of inquiry to assess new or existing product, market and channel opportunities to increase profitability, strengthen differentiation or take advantage of opportunities.
  • See the bigger picture, see the vision and be able to translate this into the steps to get there with the help development counterparts such as Risk, IT and Operations to understand requirements.
  • Coordinate with Sales and Marketing on positioning, go-to-market activities and appropriate pricing.
  • Projecting costs of development, enhancement and launch for Finance and key stakeholders.
  • Use Business Intelligence for continuous monitoring of the portfolio and report on product and channel performance.
  • Demonstrate a passion for gaining insight from all levels of the business, both internal and external, and turning this into information that will compel people to listen to you.

 

WHAT YOU’VE DONE

  • A keen eye for using fact and research to support recommendations on strategy and tactics.
  • Translate complex problems and solutions into digestible updates and recommendations.
  • Strong analytical skills with a superior attention to measuring results, profitability and key performance indicators.
  • A level of creativity combined with perseverance to pursue solutions and opportunities.
  • Experience with in financial or insurance services with 5+ years in product management, product marketing or business development would be preferred
  • Business Studies or related Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma
